E3A Healthcare Secures Grant Funding from Enterprise Singapore to Drive Innovation and Expansion
E3A Healthcare, a pioneering medical technology company specializing in non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for mothers and babies, has reached a significant milestone in its journey. Dedicated to creating a hardware-driven, next-generation consumer brand for the entire pregnancy and childbirth cycle, E3A Healthcare focuses on developing advanced home medical devices tailored for maternal and infant care.
Founded at the National University of Singapore (NUS), E3A Healthcare has experienced rapid growth since its inception, garnering numerous accolades and funding from both domestic and international sources. On September 13, 2021, the company achieved another remarkable success by securing grant funding of SGD 250,000 (approximately RMB 1.25 million) from the Startup SG Tech program under Enterprise Singapore (ESG). This funding will support E3A Healthcare in its efforts to expand into the Southeast Asian market and prepare the FDA registration reports for its new products.
Enterprise Singapore (ESG) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore. Formerly known as the Singapore Trade Development Council (TDC) from its establishment in 1983, ESG has been a pivotal organization in promoting the overseas economic cooperation and global expansion of Singaporean enterprises.
The Startup SG Tech program, managed by ESG, provides funding to startups developing proprietary technology solutions with scalable business models. One of the most competitive R&D funding programs in Singapore, Startup SG Tech offers grants in two phases: SGD 250,000 for Proof-of-Concept (POC) and SGD 500,000 for Proof-of-Value (POV), totaling up to SGD 750,000 (approximately RMB 3.75 million). This program catalyzes growth for startups leveraging patented technologies and innovative solutions.
The grant funding from ESG highlights the Singaporean government’s recognition of E3A Healthcare’s innovative, self-developed products and its potential to transform maternal and infant healthcare. This endorsement serves as a strong motivator for the company to continue its mission of delivering groundbreaking solutions.
Looking ahead, E3A Healthcare plans to strengthen its collaboration with Singapore’s leading institutions, including Nanyang Technological University’s (NTU) Entrepreneurship College, NTUitive, and the JUMPstart medical device incubator. These partnerships will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of the two-phase project funded under Startup SG Tech.
With this grant, E3A Healthcare is poised to accelerate its innovation pipeline, expand its regional footprint, and bring safer, non-invasive medical solutions to more families across Southeast Asia.
